Community & people of Karmad

Karmad is more than a village on the map. It is a living community — families, neighbours and a global diaspora who carry the village in their hearts, wherever they are in the world.

This page sets out our shared mission, aims and priorities for supporting the people of Karmad — locally and globally — through connection, care, education and community spirit.

Our mission

A shared purpose for the people of Karmad

MyKarmad exists to bring together the people of Karmad – whether you live in the village, nearby towns, or abroad. This space is for connection, support and shared progress, so that the whole community can move forward together while staying rooted in our values and history.

Keeping Karmad connected

One of our core aims is to connect people from Karmad who now live across India and around the world. We want families, friends and neighbours to stay in touch and stay informed about what is happening in the village.

From local news and community work to stories of people making a difference, MyKarmad aims to be a simple, trustworthy place to follow village life.

Strengthening care & support

Another key priority is to support individuals and families who are facing difficulties – whether educational, medical, financial or personal.

MyKarmad encourages and highlights welfare efforts that assist those in need, and aims to support organisations already working for the welfare of Karmad residents.

Guiding the next generation

Progress is not possible without communication and guidance. MyKarmad aims to support children and young people from Karmad with positive examples, encouragement for education and a strong sense of identity rooted in faith and community.

By sharing experiences from elders, professionals and students, the community can help younger generations make better decisions about study, work and life abroad.

Aims & priorities

How we hope to serve the Karmad community

Inspired by care, fairness and responsibility, these aims reflect how the community – in Karmad and abroad – can work together for long-term benefit.

Community connection

Keep Karmad’s people – at home and overseas – linked through shared information, stories and regular updates on village life.

Support in need

Encourage and highlight welfare efforts that assist families facing financial pressure, health challenges or emergencies.

Education & guidance

Support both religious and worldly learning by sharing guidance, opportunities and examples of progress from Karmad families.

Reaching across distances

Give those living in other cities or countries a way to stay close to Karmad, even if they cannot visit often.

Recognising contribution

Share and celebrate the efforts of individuals and organisations who work quietly for the benefit of Karmad’s people.

Honouring heritage & unity

Preserve Karmad’s stories, elders and traditions, and encourage harmony, cooperation and a mindset of “we” rather than “me”.

In everyday life

What this means for people of Karmad

The impact of this vision is felt in small, everyday ways — in the homes, streets and lives of people who call Karmad home, wherever they live now.

For families in the village

A clearer picture of what is happening, who is being helped, and how the wider Karmad community continues to care for the village.

For those who moved away

A way to keep Karmad close — to remember the masjids, lanes, fields and faces that shaped their early life.

For the next generation

A starting point to learn about their roots, understand the values of Karmad, and see practical examples of community in action.

Together we make a difference.
